CMB-S4 Spring 2020 Collaboration meeting
March 30 - April 2, 2020
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
March 7 update: The SOC has decided to move to a fully-remote meeting, tentatively planned as 4 days (March 30th - April 2nd) running from 9:00-1:30 Pacific with a 30 minute break. More details to follow.
Update as of March 2 regarding impact of the COVID-19 outbreak:
The CMB-S4 Executive Team is developing a contingency plan for the Spring Meeting in conjunction with the Scientific and Local Organizing Committees. This is a very dynamic situation so our plan will necessarily have to remain flexible. As of today:
- The meeting will definitely proceed, with some combination of in-person and remote attendance.
- The final decision on whether there will be any in-person attendance will be made no later than March 13th, over two weeks before the meeting.
- We will redouble our efforts to support effective remote participation, including developing guidelines for session convenors and participants to maximize people’s ability to engage.
The primary focus of this meeting will be on making the necessary technical and scientific progress towards the baseline design in general and the summer agency review in particular. There will also be significant collaboration business, including amendments to the bylaws and election updates.
In addition to the main meeting there will be social events on Sunday March 29th and splinter meetings on Thursday April 2nd.
This collaboration workshop will be hosted by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
All plenary sessions will be held in the Auditorium in Building 50.
